1. Call to Order/ Roll Call: 1:05 PM
2. Approval of S. MLK Jr. CIA Meeting Minutes (03.19.26)-Action Motion:
Schmidgall
Support: Stober
Passed unanimously 3. Discussion on 2026 Spending Plan
Board members discussed the projects outlined in the approved
spending plan and the priority areas.
4. Discussion on the Public Engagement Committee
The committee members were assigned, and the board discussed
how to utilize the committee to engage more business owners in
the corridor. Washington discussed actively getting an event
planned for the community at the end of the fall. Anderson
mentioned doing it at a business location to engage the
community and support local businesses.
5. Discussion on Spring Cleanup
Washington provided updates on street sweeping and island
maintenance. The board discussed planning the spring cleanup,
including the date, location, supplies, areas of focus, and
marketing for the event.
6. Other Business
Washington provided an update on the CATA bus stop mural at
MLK/Holmes, which is in need of repair.
Moose gave an update on Maplgrove school and mentioned
that he will be attending the April 25th meeting on behalf of the
board and will provide updates at they become available.
