5. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Grant Status Report
• Robin said there are 224 neighborhood in bloom kits submissions
• 34 mini-grant, 12 bulk trash grant and 57 neighborhood grant submissions. (four of
these are neighborhood watches)
• Tirstan will email board member about grant review session dates/times. The deadline
for review is end of April.
• Brian will create the excel spreadsheet for the mini-grants and share.
• All grants should be in the online platform by this weekend
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. MaryBeth VanHorn Resignation
• Board discussion thanking MaryBeth for her work and years of service on the board
• Matthias asked about a certificate or letter of recognition for board service for
MaryBeth
7. STATEMENTS OF CITIZENS
Niklas Zande, president of the Old Everett Neighborhood Association, spoke about their
submitted grants. Two regular grants, one mini grant and a neighborhood in bloom. The regular
grants are for a summer picnic and a winter holiday party.

A. Mayor Updates
• State of the City was on March 18 -

B. DNACE Updates
• Neighborhood Resource Summit is April 15 from 6-8 p.m. at the Union
Missionary Baptist Church on 500 S Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
• City of Lansing Citizens Academy begins the beginning of August 2026,
registration begins Mid-May. https://www.lansingmi.gov/904/Citizens-Academy
• The mini-grants process for reviewing was discussed.
