TO THE ETHICS BOARD:
THIS NOTE IS TO INFORM YOU THAT I RECENTLY MARRIED AND MY WIFE IS
EMPLOYED BY SHIELDS AND SONS PLG.& HTG. WHICH IS OWNED BY MY BROTHER AND
COUSIN. I HAVE BEEN BEFORE THE ETHICS BOARD ABOUT MY RELATION TO THE
BUSINESS.
SHE IS THE SECRETARY AND IS PAID ON A SALARY BASIS. SHE IS NOT AN OWNER
AND HAS NO FINANCIAL INTEREST IN THE BUSINESS OTHER THAN HER WEEKLY PAY.
I WILL TELL YOU THAT SHIELDS AND SONS MAY DO SOME WORK FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT BUT MY POSSISION HAS NO CONTROL OF
HIRING OUTSIDE CONTACTORS. I ALSO DO NONE OF THE INSPECTIONS THAT SHIELDS
AND SONS MAY NEED.
