HOAP* -The Homeownership Opportunity Assistance Rehabilitation Assistance for East Lansing
Program funds the gap between a lender's required Homeowners*
upfront investment and the borrower's available funds
• Rehabilitation assistance, up to $24,000, is available
• Down payment assistance up to $20,000 to address eligible repairs/replacements that address
• Rehabilitation assistance, up to $5,000, per unit for code compliance issues, energy efficiency, major
allowable repairs home systems and items that improve the home's
• Up to a$5,000 grant for lead paint hazard reduction. maintenance and livability
• Second mortgages are forgiven incrementally at up to
50% over a 7 year period
Buyer Program Participation requirements:
ADR* -The Acquisition/Development/Resale Program
allows CAHP to acquire strategically placed homes, Home must be in the program's targeted area (see
