SUBJECT: COMPLAINT FROM MR. JOHN RHODES AND JANE RHODES REFERENCE
OFFICER DON KNECHTEL CONDUCTING PRIVATE BUSINESS IN UNIFORM
The above complaint has been investigated. The persons with
first-hand information were unable to provide a date and time
they observed Officer Knechtel involved in a business transaction
with them. They did, however, state this occurred several months
ago. Without an accurate date, this complaint could not be
sustained.
However, Officer Knechtel was placed on notice of the Lansing
Police Department's Rules and Regulations pertaining to this
matter and advised that any further violation would lead to
disciplinary action against him.
