I am subject to the personnel rules for Non-Bargaining group employees, as I have succeeded Sheila Ide as the City's Deputy Personnel Director. An independent consultant of national stature has been hired to review and to make recommendations to the City about the final version of each set of rules. I do not believe that I have a conflict of interest, but wish to submit this affidavit in the interest of full disclosure. The Board asked me to inform you that they appreciate the preemptive action taken by these employees in filing these very careful affidavits.
