STATEMENT OF INTLTRE 3T
I, George S. Banta, being duly sworn and in con-
templation of Section 14.4 of the Lansing City
Charter , say that I am a duly appointed, qualified
and serving member of the Board of Water and Light
of the City of Lansing.
I further say that I am an Officer and Director of
Banta-Brooks, Inc. , a construction company in the
City of Lansing, which company has been invited to
bid and intends to submit a bid on the construction
of the Construction Services Center for the Board
of Water and Light . Bids are to be received and
opened on September 15, 1965 at 1: 30 P.M.
I further say that, should Banta-Brooks , Inc. be
the low bidder on the above named project , I will ,
at least ten days prior to the awarding file with
the City Clerk of the City of Lansing a notice of
the intention of the above named co any to enter
into a contract with the City of r} ing as re-
quired by law. r'

This is to advise that I am the Vice President and Manager of
Hubbard. Associates of Lansing, Inc. and, as you know, I am
also a member of the Civic Center Board. As you also know,
I was previously a member of the Board of Water and Light.
Recently the Board of Water and Light requested the services
of our company in the leasing of the Board' s property at 312 N.
Grand. Avenue. Although I can conceive of no possible conflict
of interest, I wish to advise you of our intention of assisting the
Board in any way possible.
