MEETING MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER: 5:35 P.M., Letts Community Center
1. ROLL CALL: Quorum was met
2. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO AGENDA: – None
3. AGENDA APPROVAL: – Tirstan moved, Brian seconded – approved unanimously.
4. BOARD MEETING MINUTES – Brian moved, MaryBeth seconded – approved unanimously.

5. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Grant Recommendations Approval – Vote
The Mayors Neighborhood Advisory Board voted on final recommendations for mini and large grants. The
following board members recused themselves from voting on the grants from the organizations listed below:
• Flo Baerren – Cedarbrook Neighborhood
• MaryBeth VanHorn – Holmes Street School Community
Tirstan moved that the board approve funding for mini-grants, seconded by Brian. – Approved
Chris moved that the board approve funding for large grants, seconded by Flo. – Approved
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Next Meeting Date? June 19th is a holiday.
- The board discussed and will not have a board meeting in June. We will come back for the next meeting in
August.
B. Board member leaving
- Kristi announced that she will be stepping down from the board. She will not be returning for the
upcoming year.
C. Board Chair/Vice Chair/Secretary nominations
- Since there will be no meeting in January, the board asked for nominations for the upcoming grant year.
- Brian nominated Christopher and Tirstan as co-chairs. Kristi nominated Matthias as secretary.

4. Board mentioned other events in Lansing this weekend, including 517 Restaurant Week, 517 Day -The
Best of Lansing Festival, 517 Day at Lansing Shuffle, Lugnuts, East Lansing Art Festival
