ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO AGENDA - None 3. AGENDA APPROVAL – Christopher moved, MaryBeth seconded – approved unanimously. 4. BOARD MEETING MINUTES – December 19, 2024 -- Brian moved, Matthias seconded – approved unanimously. 5. NEW BUSINESS A. Neighborhood Grant Idea Review • Dale Schrader and Pat Ketner from Walnut Neighborhood Organization o Discussed crosswalk painting in the neighborhood, planting trees, a bike rack at Burchard Park, landscaping with flowers and a possible garden area. • Jill Dombrowski from Eastside Neighborhood o Jill is advocating for a separate fund for crosswalk painting and wants to look at standardizing crosswalk painting for supplies and a process. o Has at least three locations this coming year. o Anyone doing crosswalks needs to involve Andy Kilpatrick and the Public Service department. (Robin will take to the Arts Board and look at Arts Council grants as a place/connection for organizations that request this as a grant.) • Nicklas Zande from Old Everett Neighborhood Organization o Asked for questions on a number of grant ideas including a neighborhood picnic, movie night, flyers, 5k run, and a celebration of Leif Erikson Day (Oct. 9) B. Parks grant available – • City of Lansing Parks Grant Match Program for civic organizations, and neighborhood watches. Funds are to be spent to enhance City of Lansing Parks. o Application tentatively closes on March 1 or until funds are gone. $33k available. The form is available on the city website. 6. OLD BUSINESS A. Learning Sessions 1/23, 2/6, 2/20, 2/26 all at 6pm Letts Comm Ctr B. Neighborhood Grant 2024-2025 Portal is open: https://webportalapp.com/sp/login/lansingneighborhoods2025 - 15 grants submitted so far! 7. UPDATES A. Mayor Updates B. DNACE Updates • Grow Lansing Grant is available • Discussed Arts grant opportunities. Maybe we can direct some projects toward them. C. Next meeting: February 20, 2025 8. STATEMENTS OF CITIZENS All meetings of the Mayor’s Neighborhood Advisory Board shall be open to the public. Those in attendance shall have the opportunity to speak on any issue related to neighborhood services not otherwise on the agenda at the end of the meeting and may speak on any agenda issue during the meeting after board members have had an opportunity to discuss the issue or prior to the board voting on the issue. The Chair may impose a time limit on public comments. 9. ADJOURN 6:40 p.m. – Christopher moved, Brian seconded – approved unanimously.
