The meeting was called to order by Chairman Downs at 7:30 p.m. The minutes of
April 13, 1993, were read and approved on a motion from Mr. Metoyer, supported
by Mr. Larson. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: A fee schedule with new fees was presented to the Board. After
a lengthy discussion Mr. Larson made a motion to support the new fee schedule and
increase fees, supported by Mr. Krejcik. Motion carried.
There was discussion regarding the sewer separation going on in certain areas of
the city. Consumer's Power is taking advantage of this by installing new gas
mains and new branch runs to each house, and moving inside meters to the outside.
Moving the meter makes it necessary to reconnect a new gas line from the new
location to the old gas line inside the house. A private contractor would need
a permit to do this type of work, however, Consumer's Power has not taken out
permits. The Board supported taking legal action, if necessary, to obtain
compliance.
A motion ws made by Mr. Metoyer, supported by Mr. Larson, to adjourn the meeting
at 9:00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
