IV. Assignment of Election Inspectors
Moved by City Assessor Frischman to adopt the proposed assignments of Election Inspectors as
submitted for the May 2, 2017 Election, and authorize the City Clerk to make adjustments as
necessary. Motion Carried.
V. New Business
There will be new election equipment for future elections.
VI. Adjournment

III. The Election Commission performed the public accuracy test.
Moved by City Assessor Frischman to accept the results of the Public Accuracy Test.
Motion Carried.

A. Review of Candidate Eligibility
Moved by City Attorney Smiertka that as stated in the Charter, Marc Townsend is not
eligible to be a candidate for Mayor.
Motion Carried.
B. Consideration of Precinct Consolidation for the August 8, 2017 Election
Moved by City Assessor Frischman to approve the consolidation.
Motion Carried.

Moved by City Attorney Smiertka to approve the establishment of AV Counting Boards for the
August 8, 2017 Election, and authorize the City Clerk to make adjustments as necessary. Motion
Carried.
Assignment of Election Inspectors for August 8, 2017 Election
Moved by City Attorney Smiertka to adopt the proposed assignments of Election Inspectors as
submitted for the August 8, 2017 Election, and authorize the City Clerk to make adjustments as
necessary. Motion Carried.

3. City Attorney Smiertka distributed the legal review of the Lansing Loves Safe Jobs
Initiative/Referendum to Modify the Lansing City Ordinances on Marijuana Establishments.
The Election Commission took no action.
