HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998 LBRA minutesBrownfield Redevelopment Authority of the City of Lansing Board of Director's Meeting Mayor's Conference Room Ninth Floor, Lansing City Hall Wednesday, June 3, 1998 5:00 P.M. .:.F S7 LA 'Site,, CITY CLERK Members Present: Ann Brazeau; Kim Coleman; David Hollister; William Long; Larry Meyer; John Petroff Members Absent: Paula Cunningham; Joseph Pandy; William Porter, Jr. Temporary EDC Members Present: Jan Hayhow Staff Present: Patricia Cook; Karl Dorshimer; Barbara Foreman; Cynthia Lidtke Guests Present: Kevin Collins; Harold Leeman Chair Long called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. 1) Approval of the Board of Director's Meeting Minutes from October 1, 1997 Motion - Ann Brazeau motioned the Board to approve the October 1, 1997 Meeting Minutes as presented and place them on file. David Hollister seconded the motion. Yeas: Unanimous. Motion carried. 2) Other Business a) Brownfield Plan # 1 - Rite Aid Pharmacy Cynthia Lidtke informed the Board that the Project Policy & Finance Committee has reviewed the Rite Aid Pharmacy Brownfield Plan. Motion - John Petroff motioned the Board to approve the resolution approving the TIFA plan as presented. David Hollister seconded the motion. Yeas: Unanimous. Motion carried. Larry Meyer disclosed to the Board that "Rite Aid" is a member of the Michigan Retailers Association and questioned whether that presents him with any conflict of interest in voting for the approval of this resolution. The Board agreed to accept Larry's "yes" vote contingent upon Pat Cook contacting the City Attorney's office for a decision on the possible conflict of interest. Kim Coleman entered the meeting at 5:07 p.m. b) Introduction of Motor Wheel Site The Board received written information, which was prepared by Karl Dorshimer, regarding the possibility of the Motor Wheel Manufacturing Facility as a Brownfield Redevelopment Site. 3) Public Comment None. 4) Adjournment Chair Long declared the meeting adjourned at 5:14 p.m. Minutes by B.
