Motion: Hartwell Support: Bohnet Passed unanimously Discussion on the Community Clean-Up Event Washington informed the board of the quote she received from Granger and potential next steps. Rebecca Epstein from the Walnut Neighborhood Association provided insight on how their organization approaches a similar effort in their neighborhood. Based on that the board would like to work with the City of Lansing’s Neighborhood Department on this effort. Public Comment Rebecca from the Walnut Neighborhood introduced herself and explained her organization’s landscaping project at the median on the east side of the corridor. They discussed collaborating since the CIA and Walnut Neighborhood have landscaping projects at the median. The board and the public openly discussed redevelopment initiatives of properties between Willow St. and Grand River Ave. I. Stallings Proposal Presentation and Discussion Washington updated the board on the feedback she received on the ISFAD proposal. The board further discussed items 1 and 4 of the proposal. Mr. Stallings provided more context for executing items 1 and 4 before excusing himself. The board members continued their discussion on how they would like to proceed with the proposal. Other Business: Member Van Arkle proposed a window art initiative for vacant and occupied properties along the corridor.
