Approval of Lansing Gateway CIA Meeting Minutes (Oct. 21st, 2025)– Action

Updates on the Design RFP
Washington provided a brief update on the responses to the Urban Design RFP.
There were eight submissions, primarily from the Mid-Michigan area. The board
deliberated which board members had the capacity and interest in reviewing
the submissions. Members Benstein, Kipp, Hartwell, and Crank volunteered to
meet virtually to select the firm. Washington plans to send out a poll to meet
before the end of the month.
Discussion on Murals
The board continued its discussion on establishing a mural sponsorship program
for the corridor. They plan to open the program in 2026.
Meeting Schedule
The board agreed to meet on the third Wednesday at 4 PM. At Peckham
Other Business
The new President of the Old Town Commercial Association informed the board
of an upcoming information meeting on its newest initiative.
End of Year Updates
Chair Benstein provided an “end of the year update.”
Public Comment
Maxine Cain introduced herself and her city-wide art project
The owner of dog grooming, Debbie, is moving to the corridor and explained why.
