Call to Order - Establish Quorum 5:36 PM Present: Barbara Lawrence, Steve Purchase, Charles Willis, Jarrod Larue Absent: Jon Scott, Kris Singh, Gina Nelson 2. Additions to Agenda None 3. Approval of Minutes a. May 15, 2025 Meeting Without objection approved as written 4. Public Comment - Agenda Items (3 Minutes) 5. Review Communications 6. Comments from Chair The Chair updated the board regarding the Memorial Day ceremony, commending LFD staff for a well run event. 7. Educational Presentations LFD Logistics Division Chief Randal presented to the board about the implementation of PS Tracks inventory management system, gear, hose and SCBA testing, and the Stryker vending machines for medical supplies. These new programs and systems enhance the department’s ability to track assets, reduce costs due to waste and spoilage, maintain quality and increase accountability. 8. Fire Administration Report Chief Sturdivant reported to the board about the departments year-end budget reconciliation, current pending MOU’s with Local 421 regarding the promotional processes, paramedic training program, and Day-Division on-call rotation. Preparations are being made for contract negotiations beginning later this year. The Chief has scheduled regular station visits. Old Business 10. New Business a. Policies 611-614. Motion by Larue, Second by Mallory. Discussion:  Lawrence: really appreciates the clarity of these policies, delineation of law vs. best practice.  Chief: Proud of the Lexipol committee and all the thoughtful work that went into this reisk management piece. Motion Carries, Policies 611-614 are approved. b. Without objection, nominations for Chair and Vice Chair are held over for next month’s meeting. 11. Request for Commissioners to be Excused a. Lawrence moved to excuse commissioners Nelson and Singh. Larue seconds. Motion passes. 12. Commissioner Comments a. Lawrence: Comment and discussion on retiree firefighter healthcare 13.
