Chairman Joe Peters called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of January 18,
2005 were read. Joe Peters made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion seconded by
Howard Lutz. Motion carried.
Old Business: NONE
New Business: There was discussion of the following Building Projects:
Sparrow Hospital Expansion
New Pattengill Middle School
The local High Schools proposed remodel work
The term of Rowland Cornish III will expire in December 2005, so he filled out the
appropriate form to be re-instated.
There was discussion of having Board Meetings every other month. A motion was made
by Joe Peters to have the meetings every even month unless there was an appeal
requested. Seconded by Howard Lutz motion carried.
There was discussion of a new contractor in the City of Lansing called Mr. Electric
possibly having un-licensed contractors.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

2004 were read. Howard Lutz made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion seconded by
Walt Smiley. Motion carried.

EBA-001-2005 316 N. Capitol Ave Superior Electric
Oscar Gonzales and Dave Boyer were representing Superior Electric. They presented their
appeals concerning a violation in the City's parking ramps. The Violation consisted of the
installation of non-listed 4-square metallic boxes. Superior Electric started this project in May
of 2003. This project consisted of a tear-out of the existing lighting fixtures and installation of
new conduit & new lighting fixtures. The issue of the appeal is that Superior Electric contends
that these boxes were installed in accordance with the intent of the Code.
The Board of appeals decided to table this appeal for another month. Superior Electric will
gather more data in regards to this matter.
Joe Peters made a motion to table this appeal, seconded by Walt Smiley, motion carried.
