Memorial Review Board
Minutes of April 11,2007
Meeting called to order at 5:32
Attending were Bonnie Bennett, Shatina Clinton,Maria
Enriquez, William Hubbell, and David Keeney.
Guest Randy Hannan representing the mayor.
Each Member introduced themselves.
The Minutes from March were read and approved.
The Chair gave a brief recitation of how you get off the board
and what we do. Each member had a copy of Ordinance 1034
On the table before them.
Randy Hannan passed along concerns from the City Attorney
Among which were
• They like to see a five member quorum not three
• Reports should contain a dollar value
• Reports should attest to the accuracy of application
• The reports should say what language goes into public
notices and include items listed in 1034.09 g3
He noted that the City attorney had not seen our
Administrative Rules —the chair gave Randy a copy from his
binder to pass on to the Attorney and stated he would get a
new copy to the clerk

Randy then went on to fill in the new members on the Busby
Memorial and stated that the value of the plaques would be
about $2,000
It was called advisable to reaffirm past decisions.
Motion was made to amend Busby Report to include figure
Of approximately $2000. passed
Motion was made to affirm that information was correct on
the application
(not information discussed,just the facts on the written
application)
Passed
It was considered whether we should reaffirm Chavez
memorial
Since we did not have it in the folder we put off dealing with
it.
Maria said she would try to get info for new members on that
Memorial.
It was discussed whether we should require signature s on the
back of applications.
It was suggested that we solicit feedback after the fact from
applicants on completed memorials
Shatina suggested we get some Political Science Intern from
LCC to document our meetings.
She was recruited to look into it.
We decided to call the new position
"Honorary Executive Assistant to City boards and
Commissions"
this person would take the minutes and submit them to the
City clerk. They could do this by computer if they did not
want to type up a hard copy.
There being no further business the Board adjourned at 6:51
