I.ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA
II.BOARD MEETING MINUTES
A.December 13, 2023 Kibby moved, seconded Dombrowski – passed unanimously
III.NEW BUSINESS
A. Disc Golf /Fenner Sycamore Schedule Public Input Meeting- Would like to have a meeting,
discussed the format of the meeting: Director will be chairing the meeting, all stakeholders will be
sent an invite: Parents, Fenner staff, Disc Golf group. The department is not planning on hiring for
engineering for the design. Planning for an evening meeting.
Public Comment about Disc Golf:
Theresa Casey: Asking for restrictions for hours of play on the disc golf course. There are examples
of other disc golf courses with restricted hours of play near schools.
Chelsea Brown: Wanted to explain that the children do have access to the entire park and would not
like the children to be limited to a fenced in area
Blake Casey: Safety is number one concern.
B. CIP Projects FY25 – discussed CIP Projects for Fiscal Year 2025
C. Master Plan 2025 – 2035 – spoke about the timeline for building the next Parks & Rec Master
Plan.
IV.OLD BUSINESS
A. Board Annual Report –
B. Tree Planting Program- Has been extended for applications, the fillable form. Looking for
neighborhood participation.
V.UPDATES
•Tree Bids have been returned.
•A concept meeting for the Fish Ladder at was held at Urban Beat on January 9th. The Old
Town Commercial Association has been involved in the planning of the upgrades to the Fish
Ladder.
•An encampment has been moved from the Kalamazoo St Bridge.
•Encampments continue to be a pressing issue.

IX. STATEMENTS OF CITIZENS
All meetings of the Park Board shall be open to the public. Those in attendance shall have the
opportunity to speak on any issue related to parks and recreation services not otherwise on the
agenda at the end of the meeting and may speak on any agenda issue during the meeting after park
board members have had an opportunity to discuss the issue or prior to the board voting on the issue.
The President may impose a time limit on public comments.
Abbey Deneau 1PM Saturday January 20th a workshop for growing native plants. Walking Club saw
an owl. A woodland wildflower garden and the rain garden are being added to Bankroft
Don Dean- asked for an installation of an electronic gate at Bankroft Park.
