I.ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA
II.BOARD MEETING MINUTES
A. March 13, 2024 – Board reviewed minutes, will be voted to accept at our next scheduled
meeting due to not having quorum at our April meeting.
III.NEW BUSINESS
A. Sky Quilt – Henry Moonrod: Has been in talks with Pat Lindeman to have a scaled down
version installed in the area of the Red Cedar Drain Project near Frandor.
B. Park Board Grant Program Guidelines – Discussed creating parameters for the Grant Programs
Guidelines.
C. Art in Park Application – Draft – reviewed a draft for Art in Park Application and made some
additions.
IV.OLD BUSINESS
A. Board annual report (sent to Mayor)
B. Playgrounds that are currently under review for replacement or new installation: Ferris, Wilson,
Georgetown, St Joseph, Fenner Nature Preschool. The board and the department will be seeking
public input on these projects.
V.UPDATES
A. Master Plan due 2/1/25 – Spicer has been awarded the contract to assist with the
Master Plan
B. Parks Millage Renewal – Ballot August 2025
C. Budget Presentation April 15 – The director will be presenting to the City Council
Committee as a whole
D. Fenner Disc Golf – Baskets have been ordered, design work is still in process
E. Moores Pool Renovation – Project has started, waiting on EGLE permit
F. Fulton Overlook- Project will begin construction soon
G. Tree Planting: Trees have arrived
H. Paving (Gier) – Project will be starting soon, some paving material has been delivered.
I.Fenner Path- Out for bid. Adding over 2 miles of path in the area of Fenner Nature Center
and Crego Park
J.Ranney Park Shade Sail – Out for bid. Rotary Park Shade sail is also out for repair
K. Scott Garden Sculpture – The sculpture in the sunken garden was vandalized.

IX. STATEMENTS OF CITIZENS
All meetings of the Park Board shall be open to the public. Those in attendance shall have the
opportunity to speak on any issue related to parks and recreation services not otherwise on the
agenda at the end of the meeting and may speak on any agenda issue during the meeting after park
board members have had an opportunity to discuss the issue or prior to the board voting on the issue.
The President may impose a time limit on public comments.
