Corridor Improvement Authority Board of Directors Monthly Meeting
September 19, 2023, at 3:00 pm

Call to Order/ Roll Call:
Chairman Benstein welcomed everyone and call the Lansing Gateway Corridor
Improvement Authority Board of Directors meeting to order at 3:13 pm
Approval of July 18th LGCIA Meeting Minutes (Action)
Motion: Bohnet moved to approve amended the June LGCIA Meeting Minutes

Motion: Bohnet moved to approve the August LGCIA Informational Meeting #2

Resolution to approve Survey Expense (Action)
Motion: Hartwell moved to approve the Resolution to approve the Survey
Expense, Bohnet second.
Approval of expenses for survey promotional materials, Benstein did ask for an
invoice or bank transfer information for LGCIA record keeping.

Corridor Survey Presentation: Washington presented the survey results. Survey
went over the current climate of the corridor. Hartwell had questions about
zoning. Fedewa answered questions about zoning and also had discussion points
about zoning opportunities for daycares, pharmacies and other businesses.
Bohnet had questions about incentives and grants for landscaping. Bohnet
suggested having a flower garden using Peckham’s farmland.
Projects Discussion: Washington did a presentation on the project ideas for the
board to read examine and come up with ideas. Sinha had questions about
population and demographic breakdown of the corridor. Fedewa spoke about
the Tri county regional study about trails in the city. Fedewa is going to send me
study about trails. Benstein agreed to focus on developing a list of projects so
that government know priorities.
Washington went over the plan that will bring $10k to help with projects, place
making view of Lansing. The committee gave ideas for funding and creative
ideas for Washington’s plan.

Andrew Fedewa went over a brief description of GIS mapping software for the
next month’s meeting with N Grand River CIA.

Bohnet moved to adjourn at 4:40pm, seconded by Sihna
