Dear Mr. Wanger:
At the regular monthly meeting of the Police and Fire Board
held ,Tune 15, 1965, the motion was made and unanimously prevailed,
that the first two sentences of the Administrative Procedure,
Police and fire Board as approved and filed as a public record
with the City Clerk in. July, 1-958, are amended to read as follows
"The Police and Fire Board shall conduct their regular meeting
the second Tuesday of each month at 7 :30 P.M. Each member of the
Board shall be notified in advance of the time and place of each
special meeting."
This amendment is being submitted to you for your approval as
to form, with the request that you will file it as a public record
with the Cleric, in accordance with Section 7.6. (d) of the City
Charter.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE, POLICE AND FIRE BOARD
The Police and Fire Board shall conduct their regular meeting the second Thursday
of each month at 7:30 P. M. Each member of the Board shall be notified in advance
of the time and place of each special meeting.
A chairman and vice-chairman shall be elected for one year terms during the regular
July meeting. The chairman shall appoint such standing committees as are necessary
to perform the administrative duties of the Board.
The Chairman (or in his absence the Vice-chairman or Acting-chairman) shall preside
at all meetings; shall perform all the duties of Board Chairman; and shall have
all of the powers of the Chairman of the Board.
A quorum at all meetings shall consist of five members of the Board.
All personnel matters shall be conducted in conformance with the printed rules
and regulations of the departments.
The Board shall appoint a secretary or secretaries to record the proceedings of
all meetings. The Board Secretary shall submit a copy of this record to the
City Clerk within seven days of the meeting.
The order of business of regular meetings shall include:
Roll Call
Approval of minutes of previous session
Communications
Applications and resignations
Committee reports
Reports of officers Rina M. Dell, Chairman
Police and Fire Board
Resolutions

At the regular meeting of the Police and Fire
Board, held on February 12, 1959, the folloi•ring action
was taken.
By Commissioner Anderton: That the Rules and
Regulations book of the Police department be amended
to read, that applicants taking an aptitude test for
the department must qualify with an I. Q. rating of
a minimum rating of 100.
Supported by Commissioner Mahoney.

The Police and Fire Board approved the following committee
report at their regular meeting January 12, 1961:
After careful consideration it is the recommendation of your
Men and Discipline Committee that when the Juvenile Bureau
moves from its present fifth floor quarters to its newly
completed offices on the fourth floor, that the following
changes be instituted: ,
1. The bureau shall be known as the Lansing Police
Department Youth Bureau.
2. The Youth Bureau shall be a separate and distinct
division of the Police Department.
3. The book of Rules and Regulations be amended to
incorporate these changes.
