First Case - 2026 William
No owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $15, 600, estimated cost of repairs is $31, 000 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days, or by April 17 , 1996 .
Mr. Hiaeshutter determined that the structure at 2026 William be
repaired and made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20
days, or by April 17, 1996 .
Second Case - 1403 Emerson
No owner was present . Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $9 ,500, estimated cost of repairs is $15, 000 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure .
Mr. Hernandez stated that this is a fire damaged structure .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 15
days, or by November 10, 1995 .
Mr. Hiaeshutter determined that the structure at 1403 Emerson be
repaired and made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 15
days , or by November 10, 1995 .
Third Case - 1429 Turner
No owner was present . Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $18, 300, estimated cost of repairs is $19 , 000 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure.
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days , or by April 17 , 1996 .
Mr. Hiaeshutter determined that the structure at 1429 Turner be repaired
and made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
April 17 , 1996 .

Fourth Case - 418 W Maple
No owner was present . Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $14 , 000, estimated cost of repairs is $15, 000 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days, or by April 17 , 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 418 W Maple be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
April 17 , 1996 .
Fifth Case - 425 W Maple'
No owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $11 , 700, estimated cost of repairs is $12 , 000 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days, or by April 17 , 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 425 W Maple be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
April 17 , 1996 .
Sixth Case - 516 W Maple
No owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $15, 000, estimated cost of repairs is $17, 500 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days, or by April 17 , 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 516 W Maple be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
April 17 , 1996 .
Seventh Case - 631 S Francis
No owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $11,200, estimated cost of repairs is $36, 750 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days, or by April 17, 1996 .

HEARING OFFICERS PRESENT: Peter Holz, Mark Hiaeshutter
STAFF PRESENT: Henry Hernandez and Krista Williams
First Case - 622 Lathrop
Mr. Beard owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of
the structure is $11, 400, estimated cost of repairs is $21, 150. The
Hearing Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the
structure.
Mr. Hernandez stated that there are 2 current permits for this property
that have not been finaled by the inspectors .
Mr. Beard stated that the upstairs of this property is totally unusable
due to the ceiling height and will be closed off. Mr. Beard also stated
that he has removed siding, replaced windows , rewired to code, re-glazed
bathroom fixtures and will be installing a new tub and repairing floor
under toilet due to water damage. Mr. Beard stated that he had installed
a new furnace 3 years ago.
Mr. Beard further stated that he had sold this property on lad contract
and had to get it back. The property has been vacant for about 2 years .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days, or by February 15, 1996 . Mr. Hernandez also advised Mr. Beard to
get with the appropriate inspectors to get his inspections completed.
The property could then be upgraded to Substandard rather than Unsafe
until all repairs are completed.
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 622 Lathrop be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
February 15 , 1996 .
Second Case - 723 E Park Terrace
Tom Nitzsche owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of
the structure is $9, 600, estimated cost of repairs is $10, 000. The
Hearing Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the
structure.
Mr. Nitzsche stated that this property had been sold on land contract in
1981 to Sam Usman.
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 15
days, or by February 15, 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 723 E Park Terrace be repaired
and made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 15 days, or by
February 15, 1996 .

Third Case - 733 Wisconsin
Bill Shroeger and Sam Eyde were present . Mr. Hernandez explained that
the SEV of the structure is $19 , 300, estimated cost of repairs is
$19 , 800 . The Hearing Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence
regarding the structure .
Mr. Eyde presented the Board with a letter of intent for this property.
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days , or by February 15, 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 733 Wisconsin be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
February 15, 1996 .
Fourth Case - 326 W Willow
William Brown, Trustee for Frank Basel was present . Mr. Hernandez
explained that the SEV of the structure is $13, 000 , estimated cost of
repairs is $15 , 000 . The Hearing Officer reviewed pictures and
correspondence regarding the structure.
Mr. Brown stated that he is in process of taking this process back from
Noel Grant who purchased it on land contract .
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days , or by February 15 , 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 326 W Willow be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days, or by
February 15 , 1996 .
Fifth Case - 1229 Shepard
No owner was present. Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $7 , 700, estimated cost of repairs is $20, 650 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure.
Mr. Hernandez recommended that the Hearing Officer order that the
structure be made safe for its intended use or demolished within 20
days , or by February 15 , 1996 .
Mr. Holz determined that the structure at 1229 Shepard be repaired and
made safe for its intended use, or demolished within 20 days , or by
February 15 , 1996 .

No owner was present . Mr. Hernandez explained that the SEV of the
structure is $8, 800, estimated cost of repairs is $20, 200 . The Hearing
Officer reviewed pictures and correspondence regarding the structure.
