Held at 316 N. Capitol Ave. at 6:00 pm,
MARCH 24, 2022
The March 24, 2022 meeting of the City of Lansing Demolition Board was called to order at 6:20 p.m. by S.
Sanford. The following members were in attendance: Dave Muylle
MEMBERS ABSENT: Joe Vitale
STAFF PRESENT: Scott Sanford; Lynne Puente
PUBLIC PRESENT: None
OLD BUSINESS:
Case No.: D2022-001 Address: 3025 MALONEY STREET:
Scott Sanford read the case overview sheet. The owner of the property was not in attendance. The property has been
tagged since 7/15/2021. This property is severely delinquent in property taxes and there have been multiple premise
violations last calendar year and this calendar year that the City of Lansing has abated. There are no permits in
place for the requested repairs.
D. Muylle ruled 60 days make safe or demolish.
Case No.: D 2022-002 Address: 5017 Hughes Road:
Scott Sanford read the case overview sheet. This dwelling has been tagged since 2012. There are no permits in
place for the repairs. Current owner purchase the home tagged, they were cited in 2019 for doing work without
permits and have failed to apply for permits to date. D. Muylle read thru the file and looked at the pictures and
ruled on the property.

Case No: D2022-003 Address: 1224 Dakin Street
S. Sanford read the case overview sheet for the property. S. Sanford noted to the board that one of the owners John
Pierce was recently deceased this property has had numerous premise and police activity. This property is severely
behind on property taxes as well and no permits or activity to complete the requested repairs. D. Muylle read thru
the file and the pictures then ruled on the property.
D. Muylle ruled: 60 days make safe or demolish.
Case No: D2022-004 Address: 5019 Pleasant Grove Road
S. Sanford read the case overview sheet for the property. S. Sanford noted to the board there has been no response
from the current owners. There has been several premise violations and board ups on the property all of which the
City of Lansing has had to abate for the owner. The owners have been paying the property taxes. D Muylle read
thru the file and reviewed the pictures then ruled.
D. Muylle ruled: 60 days make safe or demolish.
