Welcome/Call to Order
Chair Lukco welcomed everyone and called the SSCIA annual meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
Rollcall was called by Gates and recorded for public record.
New Board Member Welcome Benjamin Brewer
Brewer gave the rest of the board an introduction.The board also gave a brief introduction of
themselves.
Approval of SSCIA January 21st Meeting Minutes
MOTION: Sanborn moved to approve the SSCIA Meeting Minutes from the January 21,2022
meeting, as presented with the proposed changes. Motion seconded by
Houthoofd.
YEAS: Unanimous.Motion carried.
SSCIA Current Financials
Klein presented the draft budget for 2022/2023 fiscal year. The current fiscal year budget is
proposed to increase but will be confirmed once the treasurer's office gives final confirmation.
2022 SSCIAVision/Matrix Map
Chair Lukco facilitated the conversation about updating the 2021 projects matrix map that the
board would like to do for the fiscal year July 10. Shaski gave an update about the murals which
still need to be tracked down. The board discussed how to fix vacant property and obsolete
property issues on corridors. Brewer added a conversation about potential to slow traffic down
on the corridor.The board decided to look at the most recent master plan to see the vision of
the City. Board members will plan to walk the corridor to view vacant properties and parcels
needing improvements.
• Design: Find and reincorporate the murals, neighborhood landscaping grant, website
update, traffic speed reduction
• Organization: Capacity (DLI Monthly meetings), CED monthly meeting, spring cleanup
partnership with the SOCA organization
• Economic Vitality:Attracting business to vacant properties,corridor"field trip"
• Promotions: Plug the SSCIA website
