DEMOLITION BOARD
Held at 316 N. Capitol Ave. at 6:00 pm,
January 27, 2022
The January 27, 2022, meeting of the City of Lansing Demolition Board was called to order at 6:25 p.m. by S.
Sanford. The following members were in attendance: Joe Vitale, Dave Muylle
MEMBERS ABSENT:
STAFF PRESENT: Lynne Puente, Scott Sanford
PUBLIC PRESENT: Ronnie Ford
OLD BUSINESS:
Minutes from the December 2,2021 were presented to the board member for their approval. Joe Vitale made a
motion to approve the minutes and Dave Muylle seconded the motion.

Scott Sanford read the case overview sheet for the board. Mr. Muylle asked the owner Ronnie Ford what the status
of the property is at this time. Mr. Ford addressed the board and brought paperwork showing that he has a pending
case in the United States District Court of Western District of Michigan to be brought in front of Judge Jarbou
scheduled for August 2, 2022. Mr. Ford indicated to the board that even though the City of Lansing Fire Marshal’s
office cleared the property State Farm is trying to say the fire was intentional. He told the board he also submitted
to a lie detector test and passed. Based on the information presented Manager Scott Sanford requested that the
board table the property for 30 days so that we may present the paperwork for the lawsuit to the City Attorney’s
Office for review and advisement. Lynne Puente asked Mr. Ford for a good mailing address for the notifications to
go to. Mr. Ford indicated that he now resides at 2001 W. Mt. Hope #307 Lansing, MI 48910. Joe Vitale suggested
to Mr. Ford that he get quotes for all the trades while he is waiting for court date as sometimes it takes several
months to get trades locked in.
D. Muylle ruled tabled for 60 days pending advisement from the City Attorney’s Office
